About the role:
At an exciting time in the brand’s growth, we are looking for a creative individual to join us in building our community, optimising and scaling our global presence. This role sits within the digital marketing team, where you will have the opportunity to work across paid media, social media, digital initiatives, influencer activity and brand partnerships to drive forward the SILKE brand. You will be fully immersed in our creative output to provide best-in-class digital content alongside a dynamic team, where collaboration and reactivity is at the heart of everything we do.
This person will have a real impact by bringing highly engaging, reactive, social-first content to life – your work will be seen across our social channels, website, retailers, and various digital platforms. You will have the opportunity to assist on and shape monthly campaigns from planning to execution, ensuring high-quality, on-brand content is consistently created, shared and monitored. This is the perfect role for someone who has their finger on the pulse of new social trends and is passionate about haircare/beauty, content creation, online communities, with a focus on data to inform ideas and make improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and design creative assets for various paid and organic marketing initiatives.
- Film, shoot and edit your own REELS, TikToks and Shorts, tailored to platform best practices.
- Identifying opportunities for reactive activity and creative culturally relevant posts, bringing them to life to stay on top of and ahead of trends.
- Working with our founders each month to film content and working on ad-hoc founder content and strategy.
- Content creation for paid ads.
- Community management of central channels, respond to comments,
messages, and DMs in a timely and professional manner.
- Posting and scheduling brand content across all social media platforms, aligning with (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest).
- Identifying opportunities for Instagram stories and posting, such as user tags, press coverage and brand activity, to contribute to continuous activity on the platform.
- Assist in brainstorms and creation of the monthly and quarterly social strategy and organic social media calendar, based around monthly themes and topics.
- Assist on research and identifying opportunities for influencer collaboration partnerships and gifting.
- Support the tracking and organisation of product gifting for PR, brand collaborations and influencer activity.
- Assisting on content creation for website and retailers where needed.
- Researching and staying up to date with platform optimisations and trends to
utilise as part of our social media strategy.
You’ll need to have:
- 1-2 years’ experience in community management, copywriting, content creation and social media strategy
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and audiences across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and other emerging platforms
- Experience in ideation, creation, and execution of social campaigns or series to engage with online audiences
- Skills in creative content and video editing (ability to use tools such as Canva, CapCut, Photoshop)
- Competent in editing tools and optimising content for social media platforms using editorial, photography and video
- A passion for shooting content, someone who can make world-class content using just your phone camera
- Experience with using social schedulers and apps that help you manage the day- to-day of running social accounts
- Confident with copywriting, able to adapt to the brand’s tone-of-voice with social captions and responding to our community directly
- Be active on social media yourself, staying on top of the newest features and trends
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with our community and team
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task on various tasks
- Impeccable attention to detail, able to spot spelling mistakes/errors etc
- Be naturally curious and want to challenge the status quo by bringing your own
ideas to the table
- Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office
- Some knowledge/understanding of working for an e-commerce brand
- Understanding + love of the luxury beauty / fashion retail industry space
- Self-starter with a self-motivated attitude
- Pushes for high standards, of their self and others
- An ability to work with data and identify patterns and trends
- Demonstrates ambition and a desire to compete and be the best
- Work with humility and compassion
- Fluent in English, with other languages a definite bonus - Degree very valued but not required
