SOCIAL MEDIA CREATIVE STRATEGIST
- What we’re looking for: Social Creative Strategist
- Where it’s based: Remote working + 2 days in our London office
- Salary: £40K per annum, dependent on experience.
- Reporting to: Social Marketing Director
Who are we?
- Hype Lab was founded in 2016 with a single goal; to build a full-service social agency driven by passion for music and social content.
- Since then, we’ve established ourselves as a mainstay within the music industry, working with a wide range of labels, artists, DJs, promoters, and music brands to achieve their social media goals.
- We place a strong emphasis on creating amazing content for our clients and believe social isn’t about selling but about building a real connection between fan and brand by tapping into audience culture.
The Role
- We are looking for an experienced Creative Strategist with a passion for music, social media content & marketing to join our team.
- The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker, who brings a unique creative spark to the agency, spearheading the creative strategy for day-to-day social media content, campaigns and the development of brand identity in collaboration with our Social Marketing & Creative Directors. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes music as well as current social media trends and insights, and who loves to collaborate with wider teams to deliver best-in-class content for our roster. You will not only be able to come up with ideas, but sell them in to clients, and work with creatives to make them happen.
Your responsibilities
- Development of day-to-day social media content ideas.
- Collaborating with our strategy team to create engaging & innovative campaigns.
- Developing the brand vision & identity for a variety of clients in collaboration with our strategy & studio teams; including positioning, tone of voice and visual brand.
- Provide feedback & direction to social & studio teams to ensure our strategies & content stay true to the outlined vision.
- Work collaboratively with our studio & social teams to turn ideas into posts
- Work with the senior leadership team to develop pitches.
- Share inspiration & ideas regularly to inspire & collaborate with the wider agency.
Experience
We’re looking for someone who has 2+ years of experience as a creative strategist in social media, ideally working in music at an agency, as a freelancer, at a label, or in-house at an artist management company or music adjacent brand who thinks like our clients do.
Who are you? You'll flourish here if you:
- Demonstrate a deep passion and understanding for all critical elements of how an artist, event or music brand sees success on social: visual brand, tone, brand narrative, approach to strategy & content as well as platform usage should all be natural levers for you. Understanding and discussing all facets of social confidently is essential.
- Someone who is equally as excited to create amazing day-to-day ideas as they are delivering truly innovative campaigns.
- Have a passion for music; preferably an eclectic love for music genre wise, but with a core focus in Dance/ Electronic.
- Lives & breathes social media, and is an active user of all core social media platforms; a deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram is completely essential.
- A fantastic collaborator, but someone who can also work individually to get tasks done quickly & effectively.
- Knowledge of social media best practices.
- Be extremely organised, proactive & used to a fast paced work environment.
- Have excellent presentation, computer, written & verbal communication skills.
- Have exceptionally high standards, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Software experience with creative tools such as Adobe suite.
- Are sociable with a great sense of fun and humour.
