Head of Marketing

ROLE OVERVIEW
The role of the Head of Marketing is to define, drive and execute the marketing and brand strategy to ensure we reach, influence and inspire our key audiences in the UK and around the world.
Reporting to our Creative Director and Managing Director, this position is central to Perfumer H’s position in the Fragrance & Beauty industry, at an incredibly exciting growth point in our journey, and the Head of Marketing will be essential in shaping and defining the department as part of this growth.
Our Head of Marketing should have a keen eye for a story and enjoy hunting down and shaping communications opportunities and ideas. A quick learner with great attention to detail, they’ll be able to turn their hand to any communications tools and platforms, on or offline.
They embody the values and spirit of Perfumer H; and will be a key employee in demonstrating an innovative way of working that can adapt, challenge, and even predict the changes that are coming within the marketplace.
ABOUT PERFUMER H
Perfumer H is the creative vision of British Perfumer maker, Lyn Harris who gives uncompromising insight to her craft through the creation of beautiful, unconventional fragrances. FT HTSI wrote that Lyn has “captured the world in a bottle”. We strive to inspire our customers through unique olfactory landscapes, whilst redefining the notion of what a luxury brand encompasses.
We have three standalone stores in London, a concession in Liberty, a standalone store in Paris, a concession in Le Bon Marché; plus stores in Taiwan and Hong Kong; as well as 100 wholesale accounts represented in territories all over the world.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
• Working in close collaboration with the Perfumer H team; including Retail, Digital, Wholesale, Design and Business Stakeholders to implement global initiatives to specific regional markets.
• Working closely with the Creative Director to develop and implement the marketing strategy for each region Perfumer H operates in, that is consistent with our global brand strategy and in alignment with our business objectives.
• Excellent execution of the marketing strategy and campaigns, whilst adhering to the key Perfumer H brand values; and reporting on their success and effectiveness.
• Providing robust marketing insights on trends, competitor activities and launches, communication, distribution, brand & clients initiatives.
• Collaborating with Media, PR, Sales and CRM teams to support the Perfumer H brand communication style. Continuously thinking of new and innovative ways to propel our brand.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience between 8-10 years in a high growth retail and e-commerce business ideally (but not exclusively) in the beauty, cosmetics or luxury industry, where excellent customer experience is at the heart of the brand.
- Experience working with an international brand; with an understanding for the nuances in customer trends in different markets and cultures across digital and retail.
- A strategic thinker who is ahead of the trends and that can take the marketing function to the next level of performance.
- An experienced leader with great people skills to build, motivate and drive forward a team, but is also a self-starter who can run with projects independently.
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and work in a fast paced fast growing company — comfortable with ambiguity and brings a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience with data and analytics to further understand marketing and business strategy.
- Digital and client centric mindset.
- Project management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with NPD and global launch campaigns is a benefit.
- A passion for creative brand storytelling and cross-channel communications.
Salary up to £80,000 DOE
