The EU AMZL UTR Capacity Planning Team is looking for a Productivity Planning Manager with a proven delivery record to own and execute strategic, cross-functional projects across Europe. The goal will be to drive productivity improvement (measured by ‘TPH’ – Throughput per Hour) in our EU AMZL delivery station network.
This role requires working with several teams across the company to define requirements and high level process/system solutions to the day-to-day currently challenges, leading cross functional working groups to solve big problems for us. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and impacts.
To be successful in this position, we seek an innovative and analytical leader/program manager who has the knowledge/experience in operations and has the ability to solve complex and technical problems with simple and practical solutions.
Cross-team coordination, problem solving and analytical mindset, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
This role can be based in any of the corporate offices or Delivery Stations in London, Munich, Luxembourg, Milan, Paris and Madrid.
Key job responsibilities
Drive program objectives – provide program management and define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
- Scale services and tools – design processes and procedures that scale with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
- Define key performance indicators – develop metrics for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.
- Work is strategic – Manages significantly complex and important initiatives that resolve critical and/or endemic challenges.
- Communicate new/updated programs, policies, and processes to leaders, employees, and cross functional organizations.
- Work closely with EU launch team, WW L&TD team, EU Process Engineering team, WW Standards and CI team and EU5 Operations teams to ensure processes and trainings are aligned, following the changes.
- Solve ambiguous analyses with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes
- Create methods to capture, process, and organize complex data using SQL
- Build advanced tools/models to automate decision making for complex and ambiguous trade-off problem
A day in the life
On a daily basis you will partner with UTR planning teams, regional ACES teams, Business Intelligence, and finance to identify productivity opportunities, define solutions, and deploy these across the EU in order to achieve productivity goals.
- Master's degree in in a related discipline
- Experience with product management methodologies
- Experience implementing mechanisms in large-scale, complex environments.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
- Knowledgeable in SQL.
