Stores & Logistics Apprentice
Location: Go-Ahead London
Salary: £505.94 per week (38-hour week)
Qualification: Advanced Modern Apprenticeship Level 2 in Customer Service Practitioner with Parts
Are you passionate about the automotive industry and want to work with the latest technologies? Go-Ahead London is looking for motivated individuals to join our Stores & Logistics Apprenticeship program. Our buses operate 24/7 across the capital, and the role of the stores team is essential in keeping them running efficiently.
As an Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience while learning about stock control, logistics, and parts operations. You’ll receive on-the-job training in our procurement offices and garages, working alongside experienced colleagues. Plus, you’ll receive formal training at your workplace through our partnership with a local college.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing stock levels to ensure buses are always ready for service
- Communicating with suppliers and internal teams to source and deliver essential parts
- Conducting stock checks and ensuring the store is well organised
- Using computer systems to track and manage inventory
- Handling materials.
- Training at our designated College online and in the workplace.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong motivation to learn and a keen interest in the automotive industry
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Computer literacy and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence or evidence of working toward one.
- Requirement to travel and work at all Go Ahead London sites..
