Role Overview
The role sits within the Commercial Research team and will support the sub team focussed on the Industrial and logistics asset class. This high profile team supports one of the fastest growing areas of commercial real estate. Clients include major developers, investors and occupiers ranging from online retailers, to logistics companies through to automotive manufacturers.
The Savills research team is unique in providing advice and analysis to clients across all commercial and residential sectors of the property market. The geographical coverage spreads from Central London to all markets in the UK and also includes the key markets across Europe. Our established research team has a strong reputation for producing accurate, well-informed and, above all else, independent analysis and commentary. The team is also able to provide demographic/GIS services and assist with investment decisions. External clients include developers, landlords, investors and occupiers.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining and improving existing datasets used by our analysts in order to aid business decisions. They will also help create new databases which will improve the outputs of the Research team.
- Maintaining our existing “big box logistics” dataset
- Creating an urban logistics supply database
- Maintaining the investment comparables database
- Maintaining our long term time series data
- Working with other divisions to produce data on build costs
- Undertaking regular analysis of our agent insight system
- Creating internal dashboards
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
- Liaising with internal clients to continuously update our data
- Preparing data and comment for the press
- Opportunity to produce thought leadership pieces, analysing key macro-trends which may affect the Industrial and Logistics real estate market.
Key Skills
Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed within the business. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.
The role would suit a recent graduate, or a school leaver with some relevant work experience. Previous experience in some aspect of property or research would be welcome, but is not essential.

Team Overview
The Savills Industrial and logistics research team is current a sub-team of three which sits in the wider Commercial research team. The team utilises a myriad of internal and external data sources to provide regular public-facing market updates such as the market-leading Big Shed Briefing report. The team also works extensively with internal and external clients to produce bespoke reports, presentations and client updates.
