Our client are looking to recruit a Senior Logistics Manager on a temporary basis for their construction development in Central London.
The position is initially for 3 months, however it is expected to be a longer term position.
Day to day duties include –
- Strategic planning and coordination with trade contractors regarding material deliveries, material movement and material management on site
- Interrogation of trades planned deliveries to ensure just in time as required
- Management and development of existing DMS
- Coordination with the PC team to ensure programmed works are planned for in terms of access and egress routes across the site
- Input into developing existing partial occupation strategy
- Management and development of existing waste strategy
- Liaison with security team
- Management of logistics team consisting of –
- 2-3 logistics supervisors
- 5 traffic marshals
- 4 hoist drivers
- 4 waste operatives
- Fire marshal
- 3 general labourers
- 3 cleaners
- 10-12 material load out labourers
- Ensuring housekeeping of the common parts of the building is to the highest standard
All other daily logistics operations
- Raising of POs
- Ensuring PPE for operatives and visitors is adequate
- Participation in DABs meeting
- Review of RAMS and strategy documents as required
- Ensuring FORS & CLOCS compliance
- Monitoring of plant and equipment
- Ensuring PAT testing is carried out
