This is an exciting time to join the team and help achieve these ambitions by providing quality, proactive payment and contract compliance, and business support services.
We are looking for a motivated Compliance & Business Support officer, who will embrace new ways of working, and help ensure prompt payment of contract payments and invoices across a suite of contracts relating to maintenance and repair works on Hackney’s 30,000+ housing stock. The successful candidate will have attention to details and experience in performing contract payment functions and/or administrative duties, and knowledge of ICT systems and applications.
As a Compliance and Business Support Officer you will report to the Compliance and Business Support Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and delivering accessible information on contract payments on capital delivery and revenue reactive budgets, consultation and engagement services involving all contract managers, project managers and other stakeholders in relation to the completed work works on the capital and revenue programmes. You will act as a key point of contact for key stakeholders both internally and externally in relation to contract payments. You will also provide administrative support to the wider Housing Contract Delivery and repairs teams, using the council’s financial management system and Housing repairs management system.
It is essential that the candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work both off their own initiative and within a team. Has previous experience working with datasets ,spreadsheets and having knowledge of budgets is desirable, as well as previous experience working in a local government authority. Training will be provided where required.
