Arriva Rail London have a fantastic new opportunity for an individual who is trying to get into the Railway! We are on the hunt for an Operations and Logistical Support to join our North London based Operations team! This is an excellent chance for someone who has always been interested in an operational railway role, who is looking to start their career!

Responsibilities:

You'll be at the heart of our operations team, providing essential support to our Driver Management team. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of administrative tasks vital to keeping our operations running smoothly.
Your daily tasks will involve posting crucial safety notices across our network, conducting depot checks, and managing essential permits, equipment, and uniform orders. Ensuring compliance and safety standards are upheld is paramount in this role.
You'll be the point of contact with the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), handling matters related to train driving licenses and medicals. Additionally, you'll maintain meticulous records in our database, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance at all times.
As the primary support for our Driver Delivery Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing driver absences and sickness. You'll gather necessary information and provide assistance in adherence to attendance procedures, ensuring smooth operations even in challenging situations.
You'll be the liaison between drivers and various departments, particularly in instances of delays. Collaborating closely with Control and other HQ departments, you'll gather driver reports and details promptly to facilitate effective decision-making and resolution.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you'll adapt to other tasks as assigned by the operational team. This may include providing administrative support such as minute-taking, showcasing your versatility and dedication to team success.

Qualifications:

You will need to have proven experience working within an administrative position, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience working within the railway would be beneficial but not essential, as well as any knowledge of the London Overground.
Strong IT literacy including Excel and Word is essential for this role, as well as excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
