JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer - Economic Crime Prevention Platform
SALARY: £100,657 - £118,420
LOCATION(S): London
HOURS: [Full-time]
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our London Office

In the Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our mission is to reduce harm to our communities. We're on a journey to use the latest advances in AI and Machine Learning to enhance the Group's capability to prevent, detect and respond to economic crime. The Platform sits within Consumer Relationships and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole Group.

What you'll do
Simplify and modernise our technology estate to enable internal flexibility and increase responsiveness to evolving customer needs.
Increase pace of change by adopting a DevOps approach and automating manual tasks and interventions within the delivery pipeline.
Extend and enhance the functionality of our existing applications.
Lead teams delivering micro-service-based applications and play a key role in moving our Legacy stack onto Cloud.
Contribute to setting the strategic direction for how we integrate with applications from other platforms and different providers.
Ensure applications are fast, secure, and work across all manner of devices and platforms.
Mentor and develop junior engineers.
Provide engineers with clear and constructive feedback, creating opportunities for learning and growth.
What you'll need
A capable technical lead, who takes ownership of delivery and is willing to help grow and guide junior engineers to form high-performing teams.
In depth experience of leading software engineers and driving technology improvements at pace.
Diverse technical experience and a proven ability to deliver high quality applications at scale.
An advocate for quality and can support the team leveraging approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD and BDD
Knowledge of modern software development toolsets including Cloud hosting, Containers, Kubernetes, API's and DevOps.
Java/JavaScript (Spring, Spring Boot, Node), Microservices
CI/CD/DevOps tooling (GIT, Harness).
