Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Assistant to join one of our long-standing, award winning and highly prestigious clients in the Financial Services sector.
The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Head of Marketing and key internal stakeholders to promote our client's services. They will help generate new leads/relationships and new business, support existing clients and introducer relationships.
Overall Responsibilities
- Content management
- Assist in the production, update and effective distribution of marketing material, including brochures, sales aids, presentations, proposals, DDQs and forms;
- Assist in the production, update and effective distribution of digital content, including social media posts, webpages, videos and podcasts;
- Monitor and update company website and social media presence as well as any content hosted by third parties;
- Liaise with third-party designers, printers and website designers.
- Oversee and maintain stock of printed literature.
Public relations
- Collate and analyse media coverage;
- Monitoring of public inboxes;
- Assist in writing and reviewing awards submissions.
Sales management
- Monitor competitor activity;
- Oversee the preparation and update of pitch documents to intermediaries and clients;
- Update and maintain the intermediary database.
Campaign management
- Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns (traditional and digital) including the promotion of company services, events and thought pieces;
- Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns, record feedback and manage contacts who unsubscribe;
- Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to assist with campaign follow up;
Event management
Assist with the organisation of events such as conferences, seminars, webinars, receptions and exhibitions, including the:
- Sourcing appropriate venues;
- Sourcing and management of speaking opportunities;
- Liaison with external suppliers of goods and services;
- Set up and attendance at events where required;
- The monitoring of invite responses and the effectiveness of events;
- Management of branded literature as well as merchandise such as note pads, pens, event stands and gifts.
Relationship management
- Liaise with intermediaries, clients, regulatory bodies, third-party providers and internal stakeholders;
- Acts as advocate and an ambassador for the Company;
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with intermediaries and clients;
- Understand and be proactive in responding to intermediary and client needs.
Personal dealings and conduct
- To adhere to company in-house policy and procedures with regard to personal account dealing.
- To ensure and demonstrate propriety at all times.
- To be vigilant over issues of inducements and report as appropriate any gifts received or given in accordance with company procedures for recording gifts in the register
