North Locality Social Work Team, Pitlochry Community Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the North Locality Social Work Team for a full-time permanent Social Worker, working 36 hours per week.
The base for this post is in Pitlochry Community Hospital and the successful candidate will work with adults and carers requiring a Social Work Service
You will work with a range of partner agencies and services in various settings to support service users.
You will be expected to carry out a range of social work assessments and interventions to support service users to meet identified outcomes.
You will also carry out negotiation of flexible support care plans, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care and support options.
It is essential that you have experience in the areas of Adult Support and Protection, Adults with Incapacity, Self Direct Support and Carers Legislation.

You must hold a recognised Social Work Qualification (Degree in Social Work, DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or other relevant Social Work qualification) and be registered as a Social Worker with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or within 3 months of commencing employment and will be further responsible for maintaining your annual membership.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work is essential as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
You will be an experienced qualified Social Worker within a variety of settings who is interested in developing skills supporting a variety of service user groups to further your career and professional development.
You will be creative, enthusiastic, embracing of challenge and committed to improving the journey of the people we serve. You will be interested in learning new skills in Improvement Methodology. You will be an organised individual with outstanding communication skills and a 'can do' attitude to problem solving. Experience of statutory Adult Social Work is essential for the role.
We are looking for an ambitious, compassionate practitioner who can demonstrate experience of working with integrity in line with the values expected within Perth and Kinross Council.
This post may be suitable for candidates who have recently completed their Social Work Degree but have not yet graduated. In this circumstance, a Social Work Assistant contract will be offered until you receive your qualifying certificate and are eligible to register with the SSSC as a Social Worker.
