Lead all aspects of logistics client relationship and third party supply chain companies customer service policy commitments for product destined to Disney Clients. Run the following aspects of logistics including, but not limited to: logistics systems planning management, Supplier relationship management, Client relationship management, Supply Chain Partner relationship management, logistics contracting participation, transportation daily flow services, freight audit/payment and projects which achieve service level commitments while minimising costs.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Management: Lead your team’s daily operations – ready to ship, planning, shipment tendering, consolidation, delivery receipt, and freight audit and payment exceptions. Handle efficient product flow and strategies via exceptions management to meet product demand. Run the forecast of upcoming volume Carrier needs and commitments. Assist your operations team with shipment management as needed. Lead root cause analysis for ongoing issues with shipment creation and invoice processing. Build and maintain user operating guidelines, training and performance.
Network Optimisation: Logistics network flow optimisation – lane, hub and flow processes, Freight terms optimisation – support conversions of Supplier led freight to Disney led freight.
Own and lead teams in charge of all shipments from Supplier cancel date, delivery compliance, consolidation, to distribution center appointments applying system to accomplish consistent process and transparency.
Own and lead team in charge of all third party freight audit, allocation and payment processing into SAP. Client Freight Account Reconciliation (Paid, Received, ELC/ALC, ITM Opt).
Logistics Management System (ORACLE) : Perform UAT for all system updates related to operations. Validate system data and perform root cause analysis on erroneous data. Work with system team to correct sources of erroneous data.
Support leadership on aspects of supply chain partner contract negotiation. Provide information for RFP strategy document, Provide strategy revisions based on operational challenges throughout the year, Validate that final terms will support operational needs.
Lead on time KPI tracking and continuous improvement to meet client timely service policy commitments and carrier contracted payment terms.
Logistics analysis for leadership and our Clients as needed (e.g. estimated landed cost estimates/actual, cycle time, alternative transit costs, etc.).
Disney Internal Clients Relationship Management: Inbound reporting – status of orders to merchants, planning and distribution center.
Process Improvement: Evaluate existing processes for improvement potential, Process mapping, User needs assessment, System capability assessment, Develop project plan and timeline, implement project plan.
Supply Chain Partner Performance: Drive performance of third party logistics providers via dashboards and contracted metrics standards. Analyse and validate quarterly dashboard results and coordinate adjustments prior to communications. Drive continuous improvement programs in order to
meet client service policies.
Parcel Account Administration
Logistics Projects: Lead projects as identified that drives improvements in service, cost, labor, systems use or other areas as deemed vital.
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
Degree-level education in a related field such as Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Validated experience in supply chain role, leading daily logistics operations for multinational organisation
Working knowledge of Tableau, SQL and Oracle OTM or equivalent TMS
Working knowledge of Import transportation execution
Proven experience of working with US, EU and far Eastern operators
Proven experience of establishing effective relationships and handling partners within a large, multi-national, matrix organisation
