Overview of the role:
The Logistic Assistant will help deliver optimum value for money in ZSL’s Cameroon office. The purpose of this role is to provide Logistic support to The Western Congo Basin. The postholder will liaise with Finance and other staff involved in Logistic as well as external suppliers.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide support the compliance delivery of services of suppliers by setting up files and transmitting them to the finance department for payment.
- Provide support to logistics operations, preparation of missions, Workshops, and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the timely delivery of products, and consumables necessary for the smooth running of the project.
- Manage transit stock (stock update and tracking).
- Manage the repair of equipment.
- Supervises drivers and monitors ZSL's vehicle at fleet, hors board by ensuring fuel consumption limits, the use of vehicle logbooks, all vehicles and generators comply with maintenance and fuel plans, and that documents are up to date.
- Collect and compile data, produce and/or contribute to inventory reports to be submitted every 03 months.
- Ensure annual property inventory and provide other report in his area of responsibilities.
- Ethical conduct: Ensure that all activities and personal conduct is delivered to the highest ethical standards, in line with ZSL policies and procedures.
The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time that are in line with the level of the role.
- Experience in a logistic management role or similar.
- Experience of logistic led activities i.e., supply chain management tasks, transportation, fleet management
- Experience in some technical support.
- Experience of tracking and dealing with enquiries and working to deadlines
- Experience of monitoring, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience in project.
