The role:
The Digital Marketing Manager has responsibility for maximising impact of digital campaigns through intelligent, innovative and data-led distribution strategies. You'll need extensive experience working on YouTube, TikTok and Meta platforms, while it's a plus if you've got professional experience on Telegram. It's imperative that the person in this role understands the content, formats and audiences that align best with each of these channels.
You'll be a data-driven digital marketer, who is comfortable gathering, analysing and evaluating results for internal and client digest. You'll also be on top of the latest trends and developments in digital and social media, enabling you to respond to briefs with ideas and plans which think outside of the box, on complex and challenging campaigns.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing digital strategy: take internal research and strategy documents and turn them into succinct digital plans, across content, distribution and paid. This will include the need to provide expert recommendations on placements, targeting, budgets, posting schedules and frequency, and objective setting/data collation
- Campaign dissemination: based on approved digital strategy, working directly with our partners to ensure campaigns are successfully distributed across channels, using both paid and organic methods
- Social media and community management: working with partners to track performance of campaign content and relevant conversation (both public and private); developing approaches for direct engagement with target audiences, crisis management responses and plans, and moderation processes - all the while using your own experience to provide ‘best practice' support and collaboration
- Analysis and evaluation: leading the development of regular campaign reporting, including but not limited to: co-ordinating the gathering and inputting of data; analysing top performing content and channels, and being able to answer the ‘why' questions; making recommendations for both short and long-term improvements and optimisations; writing reports based on campaign objectives, goals, baselines and targets - as well as understanding the needs of our clients
- Influencer marketing and channel networking: where required, building relationships with key channel influencers and pages
- Capacity building: improving the digital knowledge and expertise of Zinc's partner organisations and clients, through workshops, mentoring and consultancy. This could include (but may not be limited to): social best practice and paid promotion, audience development, digital analytics, community management and content development
- Line management: managing a more junior member of digital staff, working as a Digital Content Executive
Social experience required:
- Experience of developing, running and analysing digital campaigns across multiple platforms
- Demonstrable success running campaigns across YouTube and TikTok (essential) and Telegram and Meta (desirable), including both paid and organic methods (as well as paid partnerships and influencer partnerships, where possible)
- Experience creating and delivering digital training workshops and/or providing digital mentoring or consultancy
Other experience required:
- Comfortable developing strategies, reports and other documents
- Strong presenter and communicator
- Motivated self-starter, flexible and adaptable to change
- Strong time management skills, and the ability to both efficiently take on board instruction and guidance, as well as self-managing and proactively implementing tasks
- Line management experience desirable but not essential
Lastly, we're committed to hiring a diverse workforce from different professional and cultural backgrounds, and to that end we encourage a variety of people to our company to represent the diverse range of subjects associated with our projects.
