We are looking for a Head of Marketing to join us on a fixed term contract for 14 months covering maternity leave. This is a dynamic role with plenty of variety and works in close collaboration with the team, making sure we reach targeted audiences with the right messages. In this role you'll help Digital Catapult move closer to specific sector decision makers and drive them to take their next step with us. You will lead the marketing strategy and oversee multiple projects' marketing delivery to achieve clearly defined, and measured, objectives. Reporting into the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, this role is part of the Marcomms (Marketing, Communication, Events) Team Senior Management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (Duties)
- You'll focus on the strategic development, management and execution of marketing campaigns, with a strong eye for detail.
- You will be responsible for leading a team to drive a data and insight driven view of our audiences, integrated with the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of engaging marketing strategies, to meet audiences' needs.
- You will be the lead for customer segmentation and will use key customer and market insights to develop and deliver propositions to meet our audience's current and future requirements, supporting the delivery of Digital Catapult strategic objectives.
- Drive change across the team through the effective implementation of marketing programmes, monitoring and evaluating performance and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to continually innovate, refine and improve existing processes to unlock capabilities and elevate the marketing operating model.
- Managing and developing Digital Catapult brand including visual identity guidelines, values proposition development and storytelling capabilities.
Requirements
- Significant and relevant marketing experience preferably (but not essential) in a relevant B2B marketing position from a technology business, start-up or agency.
- Strong understanding of the digital landscape and growth marketing along with an integrated digital marketing approach (all media types not just paid).
- Strong people management skills, enthusiastic and committed.
- Excellent project management, strategic planning, business administration and organisation skills with a keen eye for detail and a creative mindset.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management and interpersonal and communication skills along with writing and editing skills.
- Previous use and understanding of marketing tools - including Google Analytics, WordPress, Mail Chimp, Trello, Salesforce
