Turtl is a London-based B2B SaaS company. Founded in 2015, we have grown to 400+ customers and 100+ team members. Initially bootstrapped and later angel-funded, we completed a successful Series A round with Octopus Ventures in late 2021.
Our mission is to put performance at the heart of every online document. We do this by providing a market-leading content platform based on the psychology of how we read, backed by intuitive authoring tools, market-leading analytics and patented personalization capabilities. The documents our customers produce on our platform cover a wide range of use cases - from thought leadership to proposals and from case studies to partner comms - and have been independently proven to engage readers for up to 10x longer than the available alternatives, such as PDF.
While our history lies in serving exclusively blue-chip businesses on enterprise licenses, our future - and an accelerated growth trajectory - lies in a combination of a product-led go to market and a series of exciting, industry-leading product innovations in the field of AI and automation. These innovations have the potential to permanently change the way businesses look at content production and performance.
Turtl is squarely focused on this next exciting stage of growth, which brings with it many new opportunities and challenges. It's a fast-paced work environment, so we're looking for talented people who want to continuously learn and actively embrace challenges. You'll find Turtl a straightforward and open place to work, where colleagues can be relied on to help.
If you're ready to take on a new challenge, then it's a great time to be joining the team!

THE ROLE
Reporting directly into the CEO, the VP of Marketing will be responsible for driving revenue growth for our subscriptions business by efficiently generating and capturing demand within our ICP.
The key opportunity in new logo acquisition lies in educating the market about the benefits of adopting a platform like Turtl. We have an awful lot to say here, a lot of compelling proof points and no shortage of ideas. Bringing this to the market in a targeted and compelling way which provides real value and resonance for our ICP on their channels of preference is therefore a huge opportunity in demand generation.
With existing customers, the opportunity lies in inspiring the adoption of new and expanded use cases, and the provision of additional value-add educational materials and thought leadership.
Delivering against these two key opportunities will be dependent on your ability to fully grasp our product, our customers and our market, and construct the right, valuable messaging, content assets and campaigns. This will need to be delivered in an agile way, with shorter-term activities connecting together over time to provide a coherent string of messaging and customer journey touchpoints.
You will be responsible for managing spend on this journey, ensuring accountability for results, and inspiring and leading the marketing team. Strong cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams, will be essential.
Key assets at your disposal in achieving this are our differentiated offering, exciting product vision and the range of related unique perspectives we can take to market - i.e. we are not short of new and innovative topics for us to get people excited about. As such, our strategy is not to be simply "better" than the competition, rather to win by being different - and the VP Marketing will naturally be critical in bringing this to market.
What You'll Do
- Develop, own, and drive forward a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Ensure our messaging and campaign focuses are razor sharp, differentiated and well-aligned with the real needs and interests of our ICP
- Ensure marketing has a total understanding of our product and capabilities in support of the above
- Map out the customer journey to ensure we are building a coherent sequence of touchpoints over time which reflect the way our customers want to buy
- Make sure we use the marketing budget as optimally as possible to drive pipeline and revenue
- Evangelize for the product and business on social channels, on webinars and at live events
- Work closely with Sales to ensure we're generating the right volume and quality of opportunity; with Customer Success to ensure CRM marketing is driving value, retention and expansion; and with Product to ensure we continue to develop our offering in line with market needs
- In short: find a way to bottle the excitement, potential and uniqueness of what we do and get it out into the market to drive demand, pipeline and revenue
