We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.
We're growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. Requirements
Who we're looking for
As the Head of Brand Marketing at Runna, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's identity, driving user engagement, and expanding our reach. You will lead in the core functions of the brand marketing side of the business. These include social content, KIT, events, podcast and you collaborate closely with the broader term to deliver amazing cross-functional content.
Your role will include:
- Strive to make the RUNNA brand a true icon in the fitness industry
- Design, build and maintain our social media presence through your management of the social content team
- Be the expert on our customers and competition; compile, analyse and manage competitive, market and industry knowledge. Use your knowledge to influence our brand strategy and drive effective messaging
- Work with the wider team to make sure all creative and ad copy is line with the Runna tone of voice and brand identity
- Bring fresh ideas to our brand strategy and be willing to experiment with and build upon them, utilising our Founders, Ambassadors & Partners
- Design and deliver campaign strategy. Includes our campaign and posting strategy across all of our channels above to grow our brand by inspiring and informing our (future) followers, ultimately leading to app downloads
- Leading our content team to produce the most engaging, viral and educational content - across Graphic Design, Photography and Videography
- Leading our TikTok strategy to become one of the leading TikTok accounts for running - this one gets a special callout as it's such a big channel focus for us!
About you:
- You're low ego - you're here to collaborate and work with the team
- You are able to straddle being a "doer"; and a "thinker". You're hands on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it' attitude) but with an eye on the longer term goal
- You're a great leader and manager!
- You're organised and efficient
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You're fun and (hopefully!) like running!
- You're London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Benefits
We offer a salary of £55k - £75k+ (depending on experience), plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.
We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
- Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days from our office in Vauxhall)
- Salary reviews every 12 months or whenever we raise more investment
- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
- A workplace pension scheme where we pay 3%, if you pay 5%

Interview process
Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:
- Kick off! Apply here!
- Introductory chat (30 minutes video call with Nat or Ben)
- Content deep-dive (45 minutes video call with Ben) You'll be asked to choose a separate Instagram page & TikTok you'd like to critique and review!
- Brand deep-dive (45 minutes video call with Dom + Katie) You'll be asked to critique another relevant fitness / running brand's merchandise and event strategy and present how you'd influence Runna's strategy
- Office visit, meet the team and TASK (60 minutes in-person with : Dom + Ben)
