The role:
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, hands-on and creative Social Media Assistant to join our marketing team! This is a super exciting opportunity that will support the Social Media Manager to create content and help build our online community and social presence, across our multiple brands (HOB Salons, HOB Academy, HOB Homecare, Akin Konizi, HOB Family). This person must love all things hair, beauty and fashion and be on the pulse with all the latest social trends - ideally with some pervious social media experience, but not essential. This is a super exciting time to join HOB as you’ll be part of a growing social team where your creative ideas will be heard!
So, what will you be doing?
- Work alongside the Social Media Manager and Head of Brand to come up with creative new ideas for content, searching for the latest trends, researching competitor content and presenting mood boards - ensuring relevancy, innovation and reactivity.
- Capturing and editing content for HOB Salons, HOB Academy, Akin Konizi and HOB Family, and adapting this for use across all of our social channels. This includes Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Youtube Shorts, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Facebook. This person must be confident in editing videos and using software such as InShot and CapCut. Adobe Premier Pro is a bonus!
- Support with copywriting tasks. From writing short snappy captions to longer engaging blog posts for email marketing. Adhering to the tone of voice of the brand and helping to aid client discovery of new trends and to support overall business goals.
- Assist with the organisation of team events and influencer partnerships - from outreach, writing strong briefs to organising content going live and monitoring results. Also helping to launch our TikTok affiliate programme and support driving our social commerce!
- Provide assistance to the wider marketing team and support with adhoc tasks - Shopify, design, photography and website and product updates.
This is a full time position, based within our flagship salon and academy in the heart of Camden. This role will be required to travel regularly to our salon locations and must be comfortable working with people (team members, influencer’s, models) to capture the best content!
