Flare is on a mission to completely change the way we shop online to accelerate our move to net zero. With Flare, shoppers can plan ahead and schedule orders, while saving money. Think Google Flights but for eCommerce. We use this data to give businesses certainty and visibility on demand to minimise excess stock and emissions.
Founded by Alex and Daniel in September 2022, weâve launched on The Shopify App Store and are now onboarding new customers at light-speed, growing revenue and our team. This is where you come in! Weâre just getting started and want to make an even bigger impact! Weâre looking for a talented social media & marketing leader to create and shape the content we use to engage both businesses and shoppers.
â The Role
As our social media & marketing lead, youâll work directly alongside our CEO (Daniel đ) to run our content creation. Youâll research, write and design content (for example, Why is it hard to be a seasonal business in e-commerce? What are the solutions? How we have helped other similar businesses? How is consumer buying behaviour changing? Where do all the Easter eggs go after Easter?, How much water is used in the production of 1 pair of jeans?) that engage target audiences on the problems they have, solutions available to them and how Flare is part of that.
đ Who You Are
- Youâve previously created content and lead social media for a Shopify App or an eCommerce tool (this is a must-have for us â - do not apply for the role if you don't have this)
- You have experience in building communities, followings and engagements through content creation and social media.
- Youâve got a strong background in creating content for LinkedIn.
- Youâve previously creating short form video content.
- You enjoy diving into topics, creating ideas and taking action.
- Youâre proactive and ambitious. You might have your own entrepreneurial experience.
- Youâre creative and diligent. We love optimism and ideas.
- Youâll be comfortable with tools such as Canva and Notion.
đď¸ Responsibilities
- Research, write, create and design a range of content (weâll be strategic to create a piece of content that can be used across multiple platforms đ). Youâll lead the development and delivery of our marketing plan to grow following and adoption.
- Weâll focus on 2 main audiences:
- B2B marketing for e-commerce brands on LinkedIn
- Topics: e.g. Seasonality, sustainability, a fun e-commerce news round-up
- Formats: e.g. Blog posts, infographics, case studies, new customer launches, podcasts, feature lists & partnerships
- B2C marketing for shoppers on LinkedIn, Instagram (and potentially TikTok)
- Topics: e.g. Saving money, convenience / peace of mind when ordering
- Formats: e.g. Infographics, quizzes, giveaways, new customer launches
