Our Offer
You will receive dedicated support from a Practice Consultant, who is a Senior Social Worker whose role is to help you with your learning and development. A tailored plan to support you to transition your skills to working in the UK. You’ll be part of a social work team within your locality, so you will also learn from your team manager and colleagues.
You will receive regular supportive and reflective supervision from your Practice Consultant as well as one-to-one case supervision with your Manager. You will also have an added advantage of having group supervision and will have a protected caseload that will develop as you do, allowing time for you to navigate new systems, processes, and legislation.
You will receive regular planned reviews, at which your progress will be assessed – when your performance is determined to be satisfactory and you no longer require the programme support you will progress to a Level 2 Social Worker role (£37,336-£39,186). As a Social Worker within Norfolk Children’s Services, you will receive a range of development opportunities and access to various avenues for career progression.
About you
To apply for our programme you will need to:
- Hold a Honours Degree or Diploma in Social Work or Qualification in Social Work recognised by Social Work England
- Have registered with Social Work England before applying
- Have a minimum of one years’ experience of working as a social worker with children and families.
- Hold a valid driving licence
The application process
Shortlisting will be undertaken monthly. Once shortlisted, you will be asked to complete a written assessment. If successful, you will be invited to undertake a competency-based interview via video technology.
We recruit to cohorts with a competitive process to fill the required numbers. The next cohort we will be recruiting to is April 2025.
Relocation
We offer certificate of sponsorship and a generous relocation allowance of up to £10,000 to enable you and your family to make the move to our beautiful part of the UK.
You will be able to claim back the cost of your flights and visa requirements. We can also help to arrange temporary accommodation and transfers from the airport under the relocation package on your behalf.
We offer practical support and advice to ensure that your relocation is as smooth as possible.
